Singin' in the Rain
We got a ton of rain at our house tonight!! We were all outside enjoying it. Sage really wanted to get down and play in the water and dirt. It's hard to stop a determined 11 month old.
I'm thinking, I'm thinking I'm almost there
or.. maybe I'll just stand here and look cute
After that fun, we were really in for some fun. We decided to go on a nice little family walk around the neighborhood. We got all loaded up in our wagon and shut the Arcadia door behind us. We usually don't lock it, we just plan on coming back in that way..... When we got back I went to go inside and found that we were locked out!! One of two things had happen, either we had a visitor lock us out or our lovely door just locked as we shut it when we left. We are pretty sure it was the later. Ben got an great idea to (carefully, Ben's addition) bust off the vent of our attic and crawl through to the garage and open the garage door. Amazingly, it went really smooth and it worked, and Ben was able to fix it and it looks just like new! We are glad to be inside!! So we learned that if you want to break into your house or anyone else's, it's not a bad way to do it!!

7 Random Facts
Mary-- This is for you!
1. Years ago, just before I graduated from High School I had a crazy, fearless stage I went though. It only lasted a minute so I don't have a ton of stories to succeed it. I did however manage to skydive over the beautiful terrain of Coolidge. The whole experience was very fun, even though I got farted on by the guy who jumped just before me. I was sick the whole way down.
2. I think I don't have an addictive personality except when it comes to games! I'm the worst when it comes to games on the computer. I went the longest time playing Spider solitaire during my kids naps and whenever I could get a minute away from them. I weaned myself off that one and now I'm leaning towards Scrabble online. It's horrible!
3. I love to sew. It's a talent I want to work on. I have a dream of sewing my kids Halloween costumes someday. I'm really not good at it. I mostly just mend things, make bean bags, and sew quilts together for the Humanitarian center.
4. I'm a very observant person. In fact, when someone sees something that I don't, I doubt that it ever happen. I think I get this from my Grandma. My Grandma would look in the garbage and see if there is something new in there she didn't put in there. If I ate a Popsicle and threw away the stick, she would see the stick and ask if I ate a Popsicle. She noticed everything!
5. Ben & I used to want 10 kids! There was nothing we didn't think we could handle. With each kid we have had, that number has been cut in half. After Westin we wanted 5 kids. Now, after having Sage it's at 2 1/2. Not because we don't love our kids sooooooo much, we just aren't as super-human as we thought!
6. If I don't clean my house on Monday, it never gets done! Monday is my clean day, so that it stays clean through the week (that is the theory, anyways). If any cleaning takes place throughout the week, it's because Ben initiated it or someone is coming over.
7. Ben & I want to open a frozen yogurt shop someday. We love Mesa Frozen Yogurt and we have always thought it would be fun to open a little shop of our own someday. We have big plans so mark your calenders in 10 years to come to our big grand opening!!

The Great Outdoors
We went camping this last weekend up north in Payson. "What were you thinking", I'm sure is what your saying, taking a crawler camping! When we got there we were definitely thinking the same thing. We had so much fun, even amid all the creative ways we had to came up with to tie Sage down. Ben's parents and his brother and his family met us up there. We went to a place called Washington Park. It was beautiful! There was a little creek running right along side our camp site. The kids had a great time!!

Is it wrong to celebrate the 4th in Mexico?
We had the most wonderful time this last week, let me tell you a bit about it...
We started out at the break of dawn on Friday driving to San Diego. We first went to Sea Port Village where there are a bunch of little shops and restaurants. We also wandered over to this huge Marine landing ship thingy. It was really big and cool looking. It was actually a muse
um. We didn't go in but I'm sure it would be cool. After doing all that we went and put our kids down at the hotel. I had big plans of going to the temple while the kids were sleeping, and then when I got back Ben would go. I got ready drove to the temple, and it was closed!!! I was totally bummed because that was a huge reason why we wanted to go to San Diego!! Oh-well, the only way to get a girl out of a slump is to go shopping. Boy, did we ever find the coolest mall of all time. I was in heaven!!
Saturday we went to the beach and played in the sand with all of the other thousands of people who had the same idea. It was packed!! That night we went to fair and walked around. Ben got the guts to bungee jump and had a great time doing it. I don't know if it was natural the way he jumped from the crane thing. He looked like he was jumping into a 6 ft. deep pool. Arms pointed straight out, head down, like a straight arrow. He seamed a little too comfortable with it.
Sunday we went to pick up our friend Jan from the San Diego airport and we all drove down to Ensenada Mexico to Ben's parents beach house. The weather was beautiful while we were there. We ate, drank, and were merry (in the good sort of way) for the next few days. We rode quads down the beach to look at the tide pools, we swam in the ocean a lot, we ate fish tacos in town and played lots of games. It was very relaxing and tons of fun!

Friday morning we made it back home. Making it back through the USA border is always such a huge hurdle to climb that I want to shout for joy every time! We are so glad to be home and we had a great time! God Bless the USA!!!
